Outdoor Dining

Welcome to our beautiful patio!
Here are a few things to note:
·we do not take reservations for outdoor tables
·our patio can be wind tunnel at times, please keep this in mind on particularly windy days!
·well-behaved, leashed dogs are welcome at certain tables on the outdoor patio :)

Parking

Metered parking on the street is $1/hr, and is enforced Monday-Saturday until 6pm. There is a kiosk near our front door or you can download the Pay By Phone app to your phone, or you can go to the City of Medford parking webpage. We do have limited free parking available in the adjacent Tufts lot Tuesdays-Saturdays. Look for the ‘RESERVED SEMOLINA RESTAURANT GUEST ONLY’ signs.
You must validate your parking via QR code with the host upon your arrival or you will get a ticket in the mail.

PLEASE NOTE that is is your responsibility to ask the host to validate and that you will need to know your license plate number. Semolina Kitchen & Bar is not responsible for any parking related fines or costs.

DO NOT PARK in the St. Clement church parking lot across the street. You may get blocked in or they may tow.

Kitchen Appreciation

If you dine with us you will see a 3% kitchen appreciation added to your check for parties up to 9 guests. This fee is to acknowledge our kitchen staff’s hard work, and to start the process of bridging the historical wage gap between front/back of the house. The kitchen staff are not allowed, by law in MA, to be included in the tip pool.
The fee will be applied to each guest check to allow our kitchen staff to share in the restaurant’s daily successes. This has now become a common mechanism restaurants are using to allow for some of the kitchen's compensation to be directly tied to how hard they are working. This fee does not represent a tip, gratuity, or service charge for our front of house staff. We have implemented this practice to keep up with the rising cost of living, and to help provide a better living wage for our kitchen staff by structuring a more equitable distribution of your dining dollars.
We appreciate your support in recognizing our back of house employees’ hard work, and their commitment to our high standard of quality every day. We certainly hope you will feel (and taste!) the positive impact of a happy kitchen who feels appreciated by their community.
